ALARMA at La Machine du Moulin Rouge disappointing – November 29, 2024 Paris

2 of 5 peace of minds

Last night, La Machine du Moulin Rouge hosted ALARMA, a night that promised a diverse range of electronic music. While the venue has a history of hosting exciting events, this particular night fell short of expectations for many.

The lineup, featuring both established and emerging DJs, was certainly promising. However, the execution left much to be desired. Some attendees found the sets to be repetitive and lacking the energy that’s typically associated with great techno events.

While it’s disappointing that the recent Alarma night at La Machine du Moulin Rouge didn’t live up to its potential, we still believe there’s value in experiencing new DJs. But we Feel that Randomer has taken a very commercial Hard (Herd) Techno turn that isn’t what we want from a night out. We are aware it is very popular for the younger crowd. Our position is this music is popular for young Instagrammers who haven’t been exposed to the underground. and even the young people at La Machine du Moulin Rouge where very subdued and not feeling the Vibes. Perhaps we are spoiled by the last ALARMA (read ALARMA Anniversary: A Night of Raw Techno with DVS1, October 2024 https://peaceofmind.link/alarmas-anniversary-a-night-of-raw-techno-with-dvs1-october-2024/) and the very high quality DJ sets we have been hearing lately.

Central: DJ Periodt, Randomer, Stranger
