BCCO: A Night Under the Périphérique with a Beautiful Crowd and Blinding Lights

5 0f 5 PEACE OF MINDs

Last night was a classic Parisian summer night, and Kilomètre25 provided the perfect backdrop. The BCCO event, featuring Yanamaste, ANNĒ, future.666 & Roulita, brought a familiar and welcome energy to the outdoor venue. The music didn’t quite reach legendary status. But, the overall vibe of the night was everything you want from a Parisian open-air party.

Kilomètre25, tucked away under the périphérique highway, has a unique charm that’s hard to beat. The concrete creates an industrial yet liberating atmosphere. The open sky adds to this ambiance. This creates a true “underground” feel in a city where clubbing is often confined to dark, sweaty basements. The cool night air creates a perfect place for a relaxed night out. You can step away from the dancefloor to chat with friends, making it very social.

The crowd was a highlight of the evening. It was a beautiful and friendly mix of people. Everyone was there to dance and enjoy the moment. There was a real sense of community and good vibes, with everyone smiling and open to meeting new people. And a special shout-out to the gogo dancers. They brought a fantastic energy to the stage. It was genuinely a pleasure to see so many handsome men owning the dancefloor. Their joy was infectious and added an extra layer of magic to the night.

The DJ lineup was solid, and each DJ brought their own flavor to the mix. The beats were consistent and danceable, but not groundbreaking. It was the kind of sets that keeps you moving without taking you on a wild sonic journey. It was good, but not spectacular, which is fine for a night like this. It allowed the focus to be on the people and the place, rather than just the music.

But, there was one glaring issue (pun intended): the lights. damn the lights. They were, 200% too bright. It felt less like an underground techno party and more like a daytime market. The intense illumination washed out the atmosphere and was very painful to look at. A little moody, a little mysterious, a little less blinding, and the ambiance would have been perfect. We live in the dark (but not at this party)

Despite the lights, the night was very cool. We came for the music and the unique outdoor setting. The beautiful and kind Parisian Ravers where an added bonus. Kilomètre25 again proved why it’s our go-to spot for a summer night in Paris. As for the lighting crew? you guys need to dim it down a notch. Or three.
