Peacock Society festival – artistic disaster | Paris, July 13, 2024

1 of 5 peace of minds

We made a mistake trusting the Peacock Society organizers of this party and bought tickets before we knew what the lineup was – we won’t be doing that again. Also it was an outdoor day party when the tickets were sold, they then changed the venue and time to night.

The music was unsophisticated and juvenile, we had the impression of being at birthday party for a 15 year old, there were times earlier in the night that all 4 stages had bad music, and in the smaller rooms were so packed so you couldn’t enter

The house lights were on, on all the dancefloors this made it like partying in the airport really ruining the atmosphere

They didn’t have enough toilets for the women although they had plenty for the men.

Skrillex once again proved he is the Kim Kardashian of rave culture famous for being famous and doesn’t add anything to the art. HorsegiirL unimaginably bad eurodance possibly a new low in the misuse of irony. Marlon Hoffstadt just fast and silly eurodance without any real quality.

We missed Mac Declos b2b Lacchesi due to the room’s limited capacity. It was too crowded to enter, and the bright interior resembled a dentist’s office. To make matters worse, their set conflicted with Marcel Dettmann b2b Âme and Sama’ Abdulhadi. all the interesting Djs played at the end of the night.

The music was a disaster, but DJs Marcel Dettmann and Âme saved the night with a back-to-back set that culminated in a perfect choice for the last song: “What Time Is Love” by The KLF. This set highlighted the vast difference between commercially driven music and the underground’s innovative house and techno scene.
