Paris La Défense Arena

The venue is huge and It seemed about 25% full but we really benefited from it because it was very organized getting in, the bars were easy access and we can just walk into the bathroom and use the facilities which were (relatively) clean and spacious – beer was relatively cheap at €7 per pint
I was a little disappointed with the light show and the projection even though it was very large screen and clear it wasn’t really very interesting, colorful or psychedelic
Also dance floor was very bright and not quite stroboscopic enough
Although from the back of the venue the lighting was very impressive because of how incredibly high the ceiling was
The venue and the sound were quite great considering the french decibel levels are limited you could really feel in your body although a fellow raver turned to me on the dance floor and said the sound wasn’t that great – so what the hell do I know
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ceiling so high as that room
20:00 – 22:00 ROBIN B2B KOBOYO too early didn’t see it
22:00 – 00:00 BAMBOUNOU was weak, just generic drum beats and little to no effects
00:00 – 01:00 DASHA RUSH LIVE nice minimal techno but not too memorable
01:00 – 03:00 BEN KLOCK B2B MARCEL DETTMANN started out in classic minimal rhythms very Berghain style then they transitioned and at the end of the set it became a real soup of very interesting psychedelic sounds but not the best we have heard from these 2
03:00-05:00 DVS1 B2B RODHAD very intricate and highly technical techno
05:00 – 07:00 BLAWAN B2B HELENA HAUFF Best set of the night these 2 had the crowd pumping with pure joy – really good mix very appropriate for the setting
07:00-08:00 AXEL PICODOT the music was kind of EDM Style trying to get the crowd to jump that happened a few times it but I found it a little bit cheesy and disjointed
