Epic Ben Klock & Misstress Barbara at Mia Mao Paris, Nov 2025

5 0f 5 PEACE OF MINDs

The fourth Terpsichore party was thrown by Misstress Barbara at the massive Paris club, Mia Mao. It was always going to be huge. But honestly, this night was a prime example in proper, stripped-down techno! It’s named (Terpsichore) after the Greek muse of dance, and it felt like total freedom. Two legends guided the whole event. Misstress Barbara a great warm up. The other was Ben Klock, the guy who basically runs Berghain.

Mia Mao is this cool, industrial warehouse—the perfect spot for sound exploration. The rules? are brilliant! No phones, no VIPs, and no screens. That means everyone’s focus is exactly where it should be: dancing and socializing! The club handles the crowd really well. It was very busy. But, you could still actually move. This is way better than some of the crush-fests you find elsewhere. The lighting at MIa Mao is amazing, throwing down these complex, intricate patterns all over the place. One issue though: if they turned the brightness down, the vibe would be even cooler. The moment you enter that enormous concrete hall, the outside world disappears. It’s solely about that amazing multidiffusion sound system. The music hits you right in the chest.

Misstress Barbara: Setting the Vibe

Misstress Barbara, the host, took charge and showed why she’s the heart of Terpsichore. Her sets are famous for their energy and how well she connects with the dancers. She spent her time perfectly building the momentum before Klock took over. She brought this palpable sense of groove, keeping the tempo up but always keeping everything perfectly in control. Her set was a high-energy celebration of dancing, making the whole industrial space feel totally alive.

Ben Klock: The Next-Level Immersion

When Ben Klock stepped up, you feel `the whole atmosphere change. The air got heavier—that charged anticipation you get from one of Berlin techno’s biggest names. He didn’t just play tracks; he completely redesigned the room with sound.

His set was exactly what you want: intense and super immersive! It wasn’t about cheap thrills or quick drops. It was a rhythmic journey built on those deep, rolling basslines and hypnotic loops that made time disappear. It felt different from some of his past gigs here in Paris. He moved away from the super fast, minimalist stuff. He embraced that deep, trippy, hypnotic sound, like what DJ Nobu or D.dan are doing. It’s a welcome evolution! He used that incredible sound system to create layers of texture and density. For over two hours, Klock kept everyone suspended in a pure, euphoric trance. He proved once again why he’s one of the standard for raw, powerful techno. The energy in that dark, phone-free space was truly something else.

Terpsichore was absolutely amazing. It nailed Misstress Barbara’s vision: a complete dedication to the dance experience. From her energy boost to Ben Klock’s world-class immersion, the lineup was perfect. If you’re looking for that pure, undiluted techno experience, this was a top-tier event. It’s only about the music, thanks to Mia Mao’s ‘no photo’ policy and great management. This firmly establishes Paris as one of the best cities for club culture!
